Implementing a 360 Degree Feedbask Program

Implementing a 360 Degree Feedback Program

Ellis Locke & Associates was successful in winning the contract to develop and deliver an organization-wide 360 Degree Feedback project for a major Crown Corporation. This involved over 350 management participants (feedback receivers) and over 1800 raters (feedback providers) located in major centres from Halifax to Vancouver. The project included coaching for all of the 360 Degree Feedback participants as well as numerous information briefings and presentations.

The program was carried out with extremely aggressive time lines for developing, piloting and implementing the full 360 Degree Feedback system in both official languages. The first annual 360 Degree Feedback cycle, which was conducted in three phases of approximately 120 participants in each phase, was completed within a six-month time frame. 360 Degree Feedback participants in this project came from all levels of the Corporation’s management structure, up to and including the Chief Executive Officer.

A formal 360 Degree Feedback program evaluation conducted independently by Consulting and Audit Canada found that the large majority of participants found the program beneficial, and fully 86 percent indicated they had already made change or were committed to making change on the basis of insights derived from their 360 Degree Feedback.
