
Diane Locke has over twenty years experience in the areas of executive assessment, leadership development, talent management and executive coaching, including both internal and external HR consulting roles. Ellis Locke & Associates was created as the result of a merger between Ellis Associates and People Strength, a company founded by Diane in 2001.
Prior to starting People Strength, Diane worked as a senior HR consultant for Ellis Associates. She also created and led the Leadership Effectiveness Department at American Express where she was responsible for organizational effectiveness, leadership development, executive coaching, employee engagement and internal communication. In addition, she has worked as a Professional Development Specialist at Scotiabank and a Senior Associate in one of the premier executive assessment firms in North America. Her areas of expertise include executive assessment, executive coaching, 360 degree feedback and training and development. She has provided training, executive coaching and HR consulting services to a broad range of organizations in the public and private sectors.
Diane obtained her Masters Degree in Psychology from the Adler School of Professional Psychology and she holds an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration Degree from Wilfrid Laurier University. She is a Certified Coach Practitioner who is qualified to administer several assessment instruments including the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, the EQ-i, the Birkman Method, and the Herrmann Brain Dominance Indicator. Diane is a member of the faculty at Queen’s University and the Schulich School of Business. She is also frequently sought after to speak at conferences in the areas of talent management, succession planning, leadership assessment and leadership development.
